Axis RDY Goes the Extra Mile – And So Did Everyone Else!

On Saturday, 26th April, Brother's Farm in Wimborne came alive with colour, cheers, and some serious smiles as Axis RDY hosted its very first obstacle run: ‘The Extra Mile’ – and what a day it was!

With the sun peeking through the spring skies and a buzz of excitement in the air, runners of all ages and abilities took on a thrilling 1-mile trail packed with fun, laughter, and a splash of challenge. From bounding through the tyre

run, crawling under cargo nets, and bursting through colour clouds like human rainbows, every participant truly went the extra mile (see what we did there?).

The best part? It wasn’t a race. No timers. No pressure. Just a fantastic group of people moving their bodies, supporting each other, and having an absolute blast while doing it. Whether you sprinted, jogged, or danced your way around the course, this was all about fun, encouragement, and getting stuck in – sometimes literally!

‘The Extra Mile’ was created to welcome beginner runners and show that you don’t need to be a marathon machine to enjoy the benefits of running. It was about taking that first step in a friendly, inclusive space. And judging by the high-fives and the rainbow faces at the finish line — we think it was a massive success!

And if that got you excited to get your move on, Axis RDY’s weekly RunFit classes are where the training fun continues! RunFit is more than just running — it’s a total body tune-up designed to build strength, balance, and mobility, led by the endlessly energetic and encouraging Coach Tim. Whether you're training for your first fun run or just want to move better and feel stronger, RunFit has your back (and your hamstrings, and your glutes…).

First session free! Use code: FIRSTFREE

If you missed out on this event — don’t worry! This was just the beginning. The Extra Mile will definitely be back! Until then, keep moving, keep smiling, and remember: every mile is more fun with friends (and colour powder).
